It is not in the human nature to speak bad of the 'self'. Therefore, there are not many you will find in the present or past history who have / had taken the podium and narrated tales of the wrongdoings he / she may have committed or intend to commit in the near future. Considering the fact that the 'truth' often remains unspoken, it is upon the people on the other side of the table to take it upon themselves to decipher the code of misconduct ingrained in the concerned entity.
This is highly relevant in case of Public Relation agencies that have come into existence to cater to the urgencies of present day corporate / business / individual entity to tide over rather overwhelming competition thrown in by their blood thirsty competitors. In very simple words, within a very short duration of time, the new and the inexperienced entities or the drowning rather, dying ones vest all their faith and hope with the professionals of these agencies.
Taking advantage of the desperation of many hopefuls, tens and thousands of PR firms have sprouted like little mushrooms in the wild, not all of which are as genuine as they claim to be. Thus, when a certain firm has been advertising itself as the best PR agency that the world could ever have the privilege of housing, there may be a little background research due on the part of the hiring entities.
'Empty vessels make more noise' is a proverb that has followed us since the very early years of our childhood and should thus be employed for every self proclaiming entity. The background search should always include a thorough check on its history of success, the clients the firm has catered to before and the reviews of the clients about the services of the concerned PR agency. At the same time, the matter of believable costs of the services and understandable outcomes must also be taken into strict consideration.
